Soft Tissue
Therapy

Targeted muscle treatment to help relax tight muscles and decrease pain. This can be done through various techniques including MRT (Myofascial Release Therapy), cross friction massage, trigger point therapy, ischemic compression, effleurage, or percussion.

Manipulations and Mobilizations

This form of therapy involves small and controlled forces applied to a specific joint in order to guide it through a range of motion. A manipulation is when this force is applied quickly through a small range of motion whereas a mobilization is when this force is applied more slowly but often through a greater range. Both are highly effective and are supported by high quality research.

IASTT

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy is a technique that uses metal instruments that glide along the skin to help target deeper muscles and break up adhesions in the fascia. This technique can be used on ligaments, tendons, or muscles to help promote healing and improve range of motion.

Acupuncture

This therapeutic technique involves using small and often painless needles at the affected and surrounding areas in order to decrease pain and dysfunction.  Acupuncture is used to stimulate and promote healing in both acute and chronic conditions.

Kinesio-Taping

Kinesio-Taping involves the use of highly elastic tape which, when applied over muscles or joints, can help support the area, limit pain, and improve proprioception (which is your body’s spatial awareness).

Active Care

This is one of the most important elements of getting rid of your pain! Your chiropractor will provide specific exercises or stretches that will help reduce the frequency and intensity of your pain and prevent its’ recurrence.
